Signs of America's history are still evident
everywhere in today's Boston. The City was founded in 1630 and was
a cultured metropolis when most of the American Continent was rough
frontier.
A focus of opposition to the British, Boston was the scene of several
actions in the AMERICAN REVOLUTION. The seeds of government,
industry, and culture that were first planted here during the Revolutionary period
still continue to flourish today.
Known as the "City Upon a Hill," Boston is
the quintessential American city. For many international travelers,
Boston is the "Gateway to America" and a "must-see" city for many
Americans.
