Boston’s Muslim community is growing quickly and steadily, and the need for facilities to support this growth is clear. The fact that the new center, which has been a dream of Boston’s Muslims for decades, is becoming a reality just as our community is maturing in other ways, is indeed a blessing of God.

The ISB was designated the developer of the project site in October of 1999 and therafter began the necessary pre-development activities. In 2003, we became official owners of the property and began construction. All of this would not have been possible without the help of the Muslim community and the political support of the residents and top elected City officials ( what do they say about the Project? ). It was an unprecedented moment in the history of Islam in North America and signaled our coming of age.
